Professional golfer and Boca resident Morgan Pressel continues to make a difference in the community with her philanthropic efforts in the fight against breast cancer.

Pressel recently presented representatives from Boca Raton Regional Hospital with a check for $250,000, proceeds from her Morgan & Friends Fight Breast Cancer golf tournament in January. The money raised by the Morgan Pressel Foundation will benefit the hospital's Go Pink Challenge, a fundraising initiative for the Christine E. Lynn Women's Health and Wellness Institute/Center for Breast Care.

Pressel's foundation has raised nearly $2 million for various breast cancer measures at the hospital—including the purchase of the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mammovan, the handicapped accessible mobile mammography vehicle that honors Morgan's mother, who died of breast cancer in 2003.

"We are deeply appreciative of the philanthropic commitment of Morgan Pressel," said Jan Savarick, president of the BRRH Foundation. "[Her] dedication to honoring her mother's memory is touching the lives of so many women in our community."
