There are many reasons why all of us should learn to live on one income. I know that sounds almost impossible to many of us. It certainly did to my husband and I when we first started planning for our family. But, even if you have two solid incomes and seemingly no reason to cut corners, it’s still a wise thing to do for many reasons.
Many people have been hit hard by the current recession – lost jobs, rising expenses, etc. And we’ve all seen what can happen in the event of a catastrophic natural disaster. If that still doesn’t hit home to you, what about even more unexpected circumstances such as the death of a spouse, or divorce? Financial stress is one of the biggest factors in the divorce rate in our nation. Learning to live on one income will relieve a great deal of stress.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be writing articles on how to get to the point of living on one income. If you have two solid incomes, that’s terrific! But a little planning and preparation for what may come would still be a very wise decision.

Now for some other goodies:
All You Magazine February 2012 Coupon List – Fabulous Deals and Steals has been kind enough to provide a list of coupons that are in Walmart’s All You Magazine for February. You can check it out here to see if you want to stop by and pick up a copy. I believe it retails for $2.49 per issue if you buy it at Walmart, but you can get a subscription for $1.66 per issue here. However, I will tell you that sometimes the subscription version has fewer coupons than the newsstand version.
