In February, Saks Fifth Avenue launched a corporately driven initiative, where 5 percent of the store’s cardholder sales went to local charity partners. Our local Saks, at Town Center at Boca Raton, ranked No. 1 in the promotion generating more than $50,000 for its charitable partners, including Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Spirit of Giving Network, Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County and Saint Andrew’s School.
“Charity partnerships have long been part of our DNA at Saks. It is exciting to be in a community with such active organizations,” says John Antonini, vice president and general manager of Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton. “At Saks, our charity efforts always remain local; we aim to partner with organizations that our customers are passionate about and that help better our community. We are always looking for ways to be involved and make a positive impact in our local area.”
Nationally, Saks raised more than $1.1 million in charitable dollars for 196 organizations around the country.
