Had enough beer and barbecue? Step it up next week with a return to gourmet fabulosity with a special Max’s Harvest dinner with “Glamorous Gourmet” and sommelier Stephanie Miskew. On July 11, Max’s chef Chris Miracolo will present a reception, followed by four-course wine dinner with Miskew that will highlight fresh and adventurous summer food and perfect wine accompaniments. You’ve had your fireworks, now sample the other side of Delray at a sumptuous fun dinner that looks like this:

First course: Blue Point oysters, pickled ramp, and grapefruit-pink peppercorn mignonette, complemented by Pfaffl Grunerveltliner.

Second course: Fresh rock shrimp and boursin en croute, with tarragon butter and a micro herb salad.

Third course: Herb-seared yellowfin tuna with a ragout of cannellini beans, roasted tomato, and wild fiddleheads, beef glace, and saba balsamic accompanied by Louis Jadot, Chateau des Jacques Morgan Beaujolais.

Fourth course: Chipotle-pomegranate Palmetto Creek Farms pork shoulder roast with braised collards, and creamed corn bread paired with Robert Oakley Shiraz.

Dessert: Mango upside-down cake with key lime ice cream and strawberry chips, accompanied by Michele Chiarlo, Mascoato D’Asti.
