For some, exercise is second nature; for others, it’s a chore. But whether you like it or not, working out is necessary for good health. The American Heart Association recommends getting the equivalent of at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic physical activity (2 hours and 30 minutes) each week.

The good news, here in Boca, is that we can get that exercise outdoors—and among friends. Several local clubs offer workouts for different levels of exercisers, including people just getting off the couch. These organizations have modest fees for joining, but participants receive plenty in return—planned group workouts, camaraderie, inspiration, tips for improvement, a social network and more.
