Come celebrate Deborah James’ 25th anniversary in Boca Raton with Champagne, a little quiche and brand new arrivals—fresh in from Paris!
The shopping celebration on Thursday runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Deborah James’ boutique in Royal Palm Place. Shoppers also will receive a special gift with their purchases.
We had the pleasure of speaking to owner Deborah Shuart for an article in our March/April 2012 issue of Boca Raton magazine. Here is an excerpt:
The lowdown: After two decades in Mizner Park, Deborah James relocated to Royal Palm Place nearly three years ago—and never looked back.
“It was a leap of faith to come here, but the energy of the whole center is very good,” says owner Deborah Shuart. “It’s cheery. You have an eclectic customer who is walking around doing a lot of different things.”
The store offers a wide selection of chic, bohemian pieces in an open, airy space. In addition to elegant hats, handbags and belts, the arty boutique also carries beautiful blouses and dresses for a mature clientele.
Shuart calls it the headquarters for “casual luxe.”
“It all revolves around casual luxury and that screams Boca,” she says. “That’s what we do and that’s who we are down here.”
Did you know: Want to treat your feet? The store has a small collection of boots, heels and sandals to complete your outfit.
Lasting relationships: “We’ve had staff with us for many years,” Shuart says. “I think our customers know we can help them wardrobe build [because] we know what they bought and what they can layer on.”
