You might not think of tony Palm Beach as a hotbed of chain restaurants but it’s at least looking like something of a warmbed of late.
On the heels of the recent debut of Del Frisco’s, an upscale-casual American food eatery in Royal Poinciana Plaza, comes news that another eatery mining much the same territory, Bricktop's, is planning to open later this year in the old Amici’s spot on South County Road.
The Tennessee-based chain has seven restaurants in Florida and the South, all dishing slightly variable menus of upscale comfort food. In our little corner of paradise, where renovations on the space are currently in progress, that means everything from flatbreads to spinach-artichoke dip, prime rib to jumbo lump crabcakes, blackened fish tacos to (no kidding!) the Palm Beach salad (crab, avocado, shrimp and eggs).
