Youfit Health Clubs is coming to Boynton Beach, just in time for the new year. The health club, started by Boca Raton resident and fitness entrepreneur Rick Berks, opens early January at 801 Congress Ave.
Berks started the fast-growing fitness company five years ago. He’ll open three more Youfits in Broward and Miami soon after the opening of the Boynton Beach location, which is the 60th one nationwide.
Youfit Health Clubs are promoted as gyms where “you” will “fit” right in. Fees are low, at $10 a month, and there are no long-term contracts. The clubs are designed for everyday people—not intimidating bodybuilders or “gym rats,” according to Youfit press materials.
And these are green clubs — with floors made from recycled tires or sneakers.
Berks offers The Fit Life readers these four reminders for getting fit for the New Year:
• Quit looking for a magic pill.
• The only way to be fit and healthy is diet and exercise.
• Everything in moderation.
• Change it up. New shoes, new music, new workout partner. Keep it fresh and you won't get bored, and you won't plateau.
Join the Boynton health club before it opens to avoid the $31.79 fee. You’ll only pay $1 down, plus tax, according to Youfit’s public relations representative.
