Get pampered and give back to a local nonprofit social services agency.

Achievement Centers for Children and Families is hosting its second annual fundraiser, Indulgence, The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Delray Beach Club.

Tickets for the event are $120 for VIP access and $85 for general admission. You can purchase tickets at http://www.DelrayIndulgence.com or by calling Emma-Jane Ramset at 561/266-0003.

This gets you a champagne VIP hour, followed by wine and dinner bites for all; live entertainment; and a host of complimentary pampering services, ranging from mini massages and reflexology to intuitive readings and the hottest hair and makeup trends.

You’ll also find a boutique, featuring luxury jewelry and apparel, designer accessories and unique home accents and soft furnishings.

I didn’t know about this local charity, but it sounds like a great cause. According to the charity’s website, the Achievement Centers for Children and Families has been serving Palm Beach County's neediest children and families since 1969.

The agency’s goal is to provide affordable quality care to children whose parents would not have access to that care otherwise, because of finances, work or other challenges. It offers programs designed to meet children’s academic, social, emotional and physical needs. Those programs include toddler, preschool, after-school, teen, adult and family programs.

These affordable, nationally accredited programs allow families to work, increasing their economic stability. The nonprofit serves 700 children and 350 adults, with a main campus at 555 NW Fourth Street, Delray Beach and Village Academy campus at 400 SW 12th Avenue.

For more information about the agency, call 561/266-0003 or visit http://www.delraychild.org.
