Alfred Hitchcock’s Forgotten Female Accomplices

Christina Lane, author and professor of film studies, talks about the powerful behind-the-scenes contributions made by women to Alfred Hitchcock’s success. Lane’s new book, Phantom Lady: the Forgotten Woman Behind Hitchcock (Chicago Review Press) focuses on Hollywood producer Joan Harrison. Lane has also authored Feminist Hollywood and other books and is associate professor of film studies and chair of the cinematic arts department at the University of Miami.
