In 2010, an earthquake claimed the lives of six Lynn University family members – four students and two faculty members – as they carried out a mission in Haiti to feed the poor, aid the sick and build communities. This natural disaster also claimed the lives of countless Haitian citizens and destructed their homeland.
On October 6, Hurricane Matthew devastated Haiti yet again. Many lives were lost and even more were left without food and shelter. The Conservatory of Music’s student concerto winners wll play in an additional Philharmonia No. 3 to raise money for Haiti relief. One hundred percent of ticket sales will be donated to Foundation Hope for Haiti Inc., Foundation Enfant Jesus and Foundation Friends of Paradis des Indiens, Inc.
