Students of the Year Grand Finale
Join us in celebrating The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2018 Students of the Year Campaign! Students of the Year is a philanthropic, leadership development program, in which high school students utilize professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing and project management in order to raise funds for LLS. Each team raises money in honor of local Honored Heroes, patients in the Palm Beach Area who are currently battling, or in remission, from a blood cancer. Every dollar raised by a candidate and their team counts as one “vote.” The candidate team who earns the most “votes” at the end of the seven-week competition, will be announced as the 2018 Student(s) of the Year and receive a $5,000 college scholarship.
The Students of the Year Grand Finale Celebration will recognize the dedication and success of the candidates and their teams throughout the seven-week campaign. The Grand Finale will be held, Friday, March 9th at FPL Manatee Lagoon. The 2018 Student(s) of the Year and Runner-Up will be announced at the event. Citizenship Awards will be awarded to those students who excel in Mission, Volunteerism and Community Involvement during the campaign.
All proceeds from the Students of the Year Grand Finale will benefit LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. While this event will raise funds for lifesaving blood cancer research, it will also help support our local patients and their families by providing critically-needed financial aid. Ticket prices are $50, $75 for 21 . For more information, please contact Kellie Baker, Campaign Manager, at 561.616.8682 or [email protected]
