The Botanical Legacy of Rachel “Bunny” Mellon with Sir Peter Crane
Presented in partnership with the Garden Club of Palm Beach.
Garden designer, style setter, and philanthropist Rachel “Bunny” Mellon was a goddess of gardening, and nothing expressed her passion for elegant design more than her Oak Spring estate in Virginia. Join Sir Peter Crane, president of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, as he discusses Bunny’s enduring legacy and the future of her exquisite gardens.
Sir Crane is an internationally respected horticulturalist having worked at the Field Museum in Chicago; as the Dean of Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies; and as the director of The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. In 1998 he was knighted for his service to horticulture.
