We’ve barely made it past Labor Day yet things are already heating up in Delray—or maybe they never stopped sizzling. Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out on the Avenue, but there’s also plenty on tap for the weekend. Friday night at The Backyard (right up the road in Boynton), the Evil Monkeys play at 8 p.m. Rumor has it The Backyard now is partly covered so no more rain delays—not that a little rain ever dampened the spirits at that place, one of our new favorite hang-outs.

On Saturday you can take in the Gator-Texas A&M game at either Bru’s Room or The Old Key Lime House. And Saturday night The Arts Garage has the great Afro-Cuban-American jazz performer Bobby Ramirez, who is a saxophonist, flautist, guitarist, percussionist—and overall grand showman. This room is one of the best things going in Delray and the jazz series is packing them in.

On Sunday, if you have any energy left, Crazy Fingers hits Boston’s at 7:30 p.m. And what about dining? Don’t forget that Flavor Palm Beach is still on in Delray, with three-course meals between $30 and $35 at City Oyster, The Office, Max’s Harvest, Patio Delray, Vic & Angelo’s and Sundy House (flavorpb.com)

Have a great weekend; we’ll see you downtown.
