Tennis is the talk of the town with the upcoming Delray Beach Open just around the corner, and local businesses are getting in on the action.

For the first time, the tournament is teaming up with the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority to host Love at First Sight, a tennis window decor competition for Downtown Delray Beach businesses—and visitors can vote for their favorite.

“Downtown Delray Beach thrives on energy, creativity, and community—and this competition brings all three together,” Laura Simon, executive director of the Delray DDA, said in a press release. “The Delray Beach Open is our city’s most signature annual event, and Love at First Sight gives our small businesses a fun, highly visible way to be part of the excitement. Inviting the public to vote makes this a true community celebration.”

The competition kicked off Feb. 1 and the public can vote online for their favorite tennis-themed window display through Feb. 17. There are 15 businesses to vote for, with neon tennis balls, home decor and tennis-ready outfits gracing windows throughout downtown.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced Feb. 18; the contest is inspired by the one hosted in London during Wimbledon every year.

Running from Feb. 13 to 22, the Delray Beach Open is now in its 34th year and the likes of Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Tommy Paul, Learner Tien and Alex Michelsen will take to the courts. The event, drawing more than 60,000 spectators, has also expanded to include a Food & Wine Series; new this year is “Serve and Savor: A Taste of Italy.”
