With a record-breaking number of members, Impact 100 Palm Beach County donated $865,000 in grants to area nonprofits at its recent Grand Awards luncheon at Boca West Country Club. 

The group pools together $1,000 donations from its 855 members and during the luncheon, members vote for nonprofits to win $100,000 grants. Each of the 13 finalists made a presentation outlining how they would use the grant to better the community. 

The Junior League of Boca Raton provided an additional $10,000 donation.

The winners of the $100,000 grants: 

  • Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts 
  • Back to Basics, Inc. 
  • Healthy Aquatics Marine Institute of Florida 
  • CityHouse 
  • The Soup Kitchen 
  • St. Ann Outreach Center 
  • The Jacob S. Zweig Foundation, Inc. 
  • Best Food Forward Foundation 

The remaining nonprofits each received a $13,000 micro-grant: Delray Beach Public Library, Peggy Adams Rescue League of the Palm Beaches, Restoration International, Inc., The Synergy Network, and Visual Adjectives SEEDS.

The event was chaired by Carrie Rubin and Terry Fedele. It was announced at the end of the program that Rubin and Holly Schuttler would serve as co-presidents of Impact 100 Palm Beach County for the next year, following Janean Mileusnic’s term.
