Café Aroma, the New Jersey-based Cuban espresso roastery, has opened its flagship brick-and-mortar location right here in Boca Raton.

Originally established in Hoboken, Café Aroma started as an espresso brand more than 60 years ago with founder Rogelio ‘Roy’ Montes De Oca selling hand-roasted beans door to door in New York City. At its Boca cafe, visitors can look forward to cafe bon bons, cafecitos, and cappuccinos made with its premium namesake espresso, along with fresh pastries from Vicky Bakery and seasonal beverages like banana and dulce de leche lattes.

The cozy, 440-square-foot Havana-inspired cafe also houses a small market section where guests can load up on Café Aroma espresso bricks, bomba paella rice, Bonilla potato chips from Spain, El Norteño Pork Rinds, and more.

“Our Boca Raton café is built around the same values that have shaped us from the beginning: quality, culture, and connection.” said Bernadette Gerrity, vice president of Café Aroma and granddaughter of founder Roy Montes De Oca, in a press statement. “It’s an incredible milestone for our family, and we’re so proud and grateful to carry Roy’s legacy forward.”
