After being closed for more than two years, Austin Republic has reopened its West Palm Beach location.
Austin Republic closed its temporary shipping container mobile kitchen in April 2024 as it prepared to build a brick-and-mortar restaurant on its Dixie Highway site. The construction was plagued by extensive delays, and in the meantime a new location in North Palm Beach was opened. Fortunately chef James Strine’s Texas-style barbecue and Tex-Mex fare is now closer to home. The reopened restaurant now features a full bar to complement its expanded menu, highlights of which include Mexican corn ribs, yuca tots, tacos, as well as brisket, chicken, pork, and ribs barbecue.
