Boca Helping Hands’ annual Bowling for Bread event returns to Lucky Strike in Boca Raton on Aug. 30 to raise funds for the nonprofit’s KidsPack weekend meal program.
Supporters are encouraged to sponsor either a child for $100 or a lane for $500. Lanes will consist of kids in programs across a variety of nonprofits that have been invited to join, including 4Kids, Achievement Centers for Children & Families, Adopt a Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc., American Association of Caregiving Youth, and more. In lieu of sponsorships, donations can also be made directly to the KidsPack program here.
The KidsPack program provides a weekend’s worth of meals to underserved local kids. It serves 1,900 students each week across 15 schools and five summer camps and has so far provided nearly 290,000 meals. To learn more about Bowling for Bread and to make a donation, click here. Event sponsors include the Lee Pearlson Steinberg Foundation, the Gary Peters Family Foundation, Ovation Home Insurance Exchange, and the Lawrence A. Sanders Foundation.
