LLScene is back from Miami Swim week with a full bikini wardrobe. We couldn’t be happier for our long time friends, Kelsey Duffy of Versakini and Amanda Perna of House of Perna for launching and showcasing Versakini x Amanda Perna.
Versakini, with countless combinations and versatility, unveiled their 2017 collection submerged in bold prints and radiant hues. The runway event, drawing prime industry members, media and Ivy League standouts, commandeered the W South Beach this evening with incomparable design.
Versakini is a hip, interchangeable swimwear line that focuses on the dynamic female spirit. Birthed by Shark Tank Alum Kelsey Duffy, Versakini has teamed up with lead designer and former Project Runway star Amanda Perna. Versakini’s incomparable Spring Summer 2017 collection showcased Perna’s vibrant spirit and incredible creativity.
Crowds hoot and hollered as modern songs streamed through the venue by a talented DJ and electric violinist. Lights dimmed in the packed house to reveal perfectly tanned models in bright neon and playful printed swimsuits. Colorful tie-dyes and stripes made a statement under spotlights accompanied by impeccably styled pom pom straw beach totes and glitter lipstick. Flirty kimonos and sheer mermaid pants flushed the runway. Versakini’s 2017 collection will launch the first interchangeable one-piece, which hit the catwalk in numerous prints and colors.
Versakini provides a fun and simple way for women to express their dynamic personalities by mixing, matching and interchanging pieces of the Versakini collection to create the perfect look or to try a fresh style.
“I am inspired by life. By people, music, nature and color. I strive to create clothing that is unique, impactful and makes a statement. I believe fashion should be fun and not take itself too seriously. I value clothing that encompasses many fundamentals of design but most importantly, color and texture.” – Designer, Amanda Perna
