Now that they’ve closed our beaches, social distancing just became very real to my neighborhood in Ocean Ridge (thank you spring breakers!) but the idea is well founded. With the absence of enough tests and with people running around with no symptoms, the only way to be safe from the coronavirus—and keep others safe—is by staying at home, preferably, or well away from others if you have to go out.
This strain of flu is spreading like wildfire and cases are growing exponentially. The links below, one from CBS News and the other a theoretical graph from a Stanford engineering grad blogger, show how “flattening the curve could work to our advantage.”
