You don’t have to make the drive (or train trip) to Miami anymore to savor some of Jeremy Ford’s extraordinary creations. The “Top Chef” winner and co-host of the “Fast Foodies” cooking show has made his way up to Palm Beach Gardens at the recently renovated PGA National Resort. The hotel, which went through a $100 million upgrade, actually welcomes two “Top Chef” alumni – Ford with The Butcher’s Club, his take on a steakhouse, and Lindsay Autry with her Honeybelle café.

Ford’s Miami Beach restaurant Stubborn Seed has a laid-back vibe that always delivers stellar service and an unforgettable dining experience. Well, his take on a chophouse has similar top-notch service with cool, retro décor. It features a quaint swanky bar and two private dining rooms.

And then there’s the food. Start off with the warm Gruyere Cheesy Puffs or Gooey Black Truffle Jalapeno Poppers – both excellent choices. For seafood options, there’s a curated raw bar along with a local fish crudo and tuna tartare. While you’ll certainly find Delmonico, porterhouse, NY strip and wagyu steaks on the menu, you can also enjoy housemade pasta and local fish alongside savory sides like the Crunch Bravas Potatoes and Blue Crab Mac & Cheese. When Ford has created a menu, you really can’t go wrong with your selections – all you can do is enjoy the ride.
