If you’re ready to kick off the winter season with a culinary feast, then the drive (or train ride) down to Miami for the South Beach Seafood Festival is the way to go. On Oct. 19-22 the event is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a four-day lineup of delightful dishes and experiences.

From sit-down dinners to walk around pop-ups you will find it all at the festival this year. “Crabs, Slabs and Cabs” on Oct. 20 is a five-course dinner at High Tide on South Beach with chefs like Pubbelly Sushi’s Jose Mendin and Luca Osteria’s Giorgio Rapicavoli creating an unforgettable meal for diners. The following day, the “Chef Showdown” brings a collection of chefs together for some friendly competition. Look for the 2021 Champion, UCHI Miami’s Cristian Canencio competing against Seawell Fish N’ Oyster’s Raymond Fiorello and Zuma’s Nono Shigetomi taking on Paperfish Sushi’s Michael Asalie, just to name a few. But mixologists aren’t getting left behind.

The “Extraordinary Bartender Showdown” also takes place that evening. Four bartenders will compete to make the best Tequila Herradura margarita and guests will decide who wins the $500 cash prize. The beach bash continues into the weekend with festival tents that will span four blocks along Ocean Drive at Lummus Park. Enjoy a wide selection of seafood and local treats alongside live music.
