The holidays are a magical time to reunite with friends and family that are near or far and this year travelers are eager to hit the road this holiday season. After two challenging years of travel bans, restrictions, and lockdowns, more people are making big travel plans despite financial concerns, according to a new report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Airport officials and industry analysts say passenger traffic for the Nov. 24 Thanksgiving holiday through New Year’s is set to reach or exceed 2019 levels, when 93 million people packed US flights. This translates to a greater need for those living in South Florida to have easy access to three major airports.
Tri-Rail, South Florida’s commuter train service operating 365 days a year, is a sure way to get to MIA, FLL and PBI airports. Tri-Rail offers 18 convenient train stations, free Wi-Fi on board, train station parking, luggage racks and fares as low as $5.

The service to MIA is seamless with no shuttle connections. There are quick-trip, direct shuttles to FLL and PBI airports from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport in Dania Beach and West Palm Beach train stations. There is no cost for the shuttles with a valid train ticket.
Wherever life takes you throughout South Florida, Tri-Rail is a stress-free, cost-effective means of transportation. Now, as part of the low-cost service, riders can enjoy free shuttle, taxi and Uber rides from select stations. Work is in progress to add its 19th station in downtown Miami.
