The countdown is on for the 15th Annual Savor the Avenue on March 25 in Delray Beach! Everyone knows this event as the one with the five-block-long dining table that goes straight down the middle of Atlantic Avenue. All the tables are decorated to the nines, there are 900 to 1,000 guests, and diners enjoy an al fresco four-course meal as the twilight deepens into evening. It’s a beautiful experience—presented by the Downtown Development Authority of Delray Beach and Boca and Delray magazines—and it’s sold out in a matter of days. This year is no exception.

Despite waiting lists for most restaurants, it’s important to remember that half the fun of this event is being downtown when it’s going on—restaurants are all open and serving dinner, and there is a lot to see as you stroll the festive avenue, with twinkling lights, music and lavish tables. Don’t miss this opportunity to be in the middle of one of the city’s loveliest signature events—whether you are dining at the long table or at one of our stellar restaurants.

Here are the participating restaurants:

  • Avalon Steak and Seafood/Campi: Delray’s sumptuous seafood and chophouse is a crowd pleaser—and its sister restaurant, Campi, in the Ray Hotel, offers sublime Italian specialties. SOLD OUT
  • Cabana El Rey: Our beloved (and hip) Cuban restaurant has all the moves—and great Latin cuisine.
  • Caffe Luna Rosa: This oceanside Italian bistro is a tradition for locals as well as tourists.
  • City Oyster: The heart of the Avenue, with its long friendly bar and diverse menu, is a see-and-be-seen dining spot. SOLD OUT
  • Costa by OK&M: This fresh (and fine) farm-to-table restaurant features innovative dishes sourced from local vendors.
  • Elisabetta’s: From pastas to pizzas and a great outdoor porch, this is Delray’s Saturday night central. SOLD OUT
  • Le Colonial: The Avenue’s glamorous French-Vietnamese dining experience is both chic and delicious. SOLD OUT
  • Lemongrass: This Asian restaurant is a tried-and-true Avenue benchmark, with a mean sake selection.
  • Lionfish: This buzzy Delray seafood restaurant has been a hit from day one. SOLD OUT
  • Rocco’s Tacos: Tableside guac, Taco Tuesdays and an epic Avenue hangout make this a Delray fave. SOLD OUT
  • Rose’s Daughter: Mom’s Sunday Italian dinner—with a fresh new spin. SOLD OUT
  • Salt 7: This stylish New American standby is an Avenue destination. SOLD OUT
  • Vic And Angelo’s: This longtime Avenue staple is great Italian on the right side of the tracks. SOLD OUT
  • The Wine Room: Delray’s definitive wine tasting experience and restaurant has a loyal following. SOLD OUT

The event also benefits a worthwhile charity, Eat Better Live Better, which prevents, reverses and reduces childhood obesity and other dietary-related illnesses by providing healthy foods and nutrition education to our food-insecure neighbors. The program offers grocery assistance for Palm Beach County families and seniors, healthy snack packs for children in schools, camps and after-school programs, and provides a turkey to every teacher and support staff in our public schools. Eat Better Live Better’s vision is that all children, families, and individuals have access to nutrition education and healthy foods regardless of background or life experiences.

If you wish to be added to a waiting list, please contact the restaurant of your choice. Reservations must be made directly with the participating restaurant. Menus are available online at bocamag.com/Savor-The-Avenue-2024 or DowntownDelrayBeach.com/SavorTheAvenue or at the restaurant.
