After more than 30 years and countless celebrations, Okeechobee Steakhouse commemorated a new one. Touted as Florida’s oldest steakhouse, it has been gifting a free steak dinner to guests who dine on their birthday for decades, and last Tuesday, it served its 350,000th free birthday meal. Created by the second generation of Lewis family owners, this tradition is now carried on by its third generation to honor guests on their special day with the famed 35-day, wet-aged eight-ounce prime New York strip.
