Every year, as soon as the first leaf (I mean, palm frond…) falls in Boca Raton, my mind starts to drift toward the holiday season ahead. And you know what? Even though it’s only the first week of October, it’s never too early to start prepping for the holidays. Besides, we know it’s us moms who typically bring all the Christmas magic to life anyways.

By planning ahead, you can at least TRY to savor every moment without the last-minute rush. Imagine leisurely decorating your home, wrapping presents, sipping hot cocoa (or an iced coffee or cocktail—if the temperature is still above 85), and listening to your favorite holiday tunes, all while your gorgeous new Alpine Fir tree stands tall in the corner, twinkling away. Bliss, right? Sign this mom up!

Step 1: Invest in a New Artificial Tree

I know there are “real tree devotees” out there, but I’ve found that it’s nearly impossible to keep one going through the New Year here in South Florida. So, the first thing I’m doing to up my holiday game this season is investing in a stunning 9′ Alpine Fir Artificial Christmas Tree from King of Christmas. If you’re like me and dream about having a tree that looks like it’s straight out of a winter wonderland magazine spread, then this is your crown jewel. With 1100 warm white LED lights, it’s practically glowing with festive cheer, ready to be the centerpiece of your home’s holiday décor.

King of Christmas offers beautifully handcrafted and long lasting holiday products that can transform any space into a magical Christmas scene. From stunning ornaments to festive wreaths, they’ve got everything you need to add that extra sparkle to your décor.

I am a huge fan of their pre-lit garlands as well! For the last five years, we’ve decked out our staircase with them, and the garlands remain as beautiful as the day we first unboxed them.

Step 2: Consider Permanent Outdoor Holiday Lighting

Trimlight Palm Beach

If there’s one thing I loathe about the holidays, it’s putting up outdoor lights…and then taking them down again a month later. I dreamed about investing in a stylish, energy-efficient and permanent LED lighting system that would make my house look amazing while eliminating a sizeable task from of my holiday to-do list. It turns out that Trimlight Palm Beach can make it happen.

No more having to untangle strings of lights or climb tall ladders in the Florida heat! Trimlight has tons of customization options; you can select from millions of colors and patterns, allowing you to tailor your outdoor lighting for any occasion, whether it’s to automate your holiday decor or spruce up a simple family gathering.

Step 3: Plan Ahead for Decor Storage

I always manage to forget about how much storage space we have available (and will need) after splurging on new holiday décor, especially when it goes on sale. That’s why last year we installed a sizeable (4×8 foot), heavy duty overhead garage storage rack. With the exception of our artificial trees, every Christmas decoration we own fits on this organization system. It is a game changer and looks pretty sharp in our garage, too!

Remember, as moms, we’re the architects of holiday magic. We create the traditions, the surprises, and the unforgettable moments our families cherish.

Until next time, keep spreading that holiday cheer early…and often!
