In our January issue, we sit down with Veronica Hatch, the City of Boca Raton’s very first public art coordinator, to discuss the city’s recent push to embrace and expand its public-art footprint. As part of this expansion, the city launched an interactive map on its website that lists every example of public art in Boca, from the vibrant maritime murals at Red Reef; to sculptures at Sanborn Square, Silver Palm Park, Mizner Park Amphitheater and more; to the rotating art exhibitions at the Spanish River and downtown libraries.
The map offers close-up views of the works and information on the local artists and their materials. It’s the best way to familiarize yourself with all of the city’s free public-art gems, both hidden and obvious. Check it out here, and hit the pavement!
