Remember when Instagram used to be simply photos (usually with a funky filter) posted in chronological order? Love it or hate it, the social media platform has grown and evolved (hello reels and carousels and Teen Accounts!) since I started featuring my favorite #bocamoms on the ‘gram in this column over nine years ago.
Modern Boca Mom had its first viral reel last year, garnering 2.8 million views, ironically having nothing to do with Boca…or being a mom. I guess that’s the Instagram algorithm for you! I’ve even decided to dabble in TikTok, repurposing content that I’ve already created for Instagram to see what kind of audience it reaches on that platform. All reach is good reach for a content creator, especially if you’re relatively new to the game like these local ladies.
