No surprise to us locals, but Delray Beach has once again taken the lead for the best beach in Florida.

The city’s municipal beach took the top spot by voters in USA Today’s 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards; it’s the second year in a row that Delray Beach won the honor.

The top 10 winners, according to voters:

  1. Delray Beach
  2. Clearwater Beach
  3. Treasure Island Beach
  4. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea
  5. Stuart Beach
  6. Bowman’s Beach
  7. St. Pete Beach
  8. Siesta Beach
  9. Destin
  10. Anastasia State Park

“We’re thrilled—but not surprised—that Delray Beach has earned this recognition again,” Laura Simon, executive director of the Delray Beach DDA, said in a press release. “USA TODAY’s readers are simply confirming what we already know: Delray Beach isn’t just the best in Florida—it’s one of the best in the world.”

On the heels of summer, Delray Beach is having a good year. In April, the beach once again earned its Blue Flag designation and hosted a flag raising ceremony on May 1. Beaches must meet criteria in 33 areas, such as environmental education, water quality, environmental management and safety.
