It’s unfortunately happening more than we’d like. Local restaurants are closing and so it pains us to announce two more.

Loch Bar and Penelope, both in Mizner Park, have closed. Loch Bar was famous for its amazing crab cakes and lively bar scene. Penelope, which we reviewed here, was where you could savor its take on New Orleans flavors in a whimsical setting complete with oscillating umbrellas and macabre art. But, there is a bright side to Penelope’s departure. Sub-Culture Group has brought back Tryst, the beloved Atlantic Avenue watering hole, after ten years and relocated it to this new location.

We offer a fond farewell to both. And welcome back, Tryst.
