This weekend, get a ticket to the Florida Atlantic University Owls football game for the cost of a box of cereal.

Local nonprofit powerhouses Boca Helping Hands and Cereal4All—founded by local teens Jett and Luke Justin—are partnering with Florida Atlantic University Athletics for the fifth annual Tackle Hunger Cereal Drive, offering free tickets to the Owls’ game this Saturday, Sept. 27, in exchange for a donation of cereal. The joint effort is one of many local initiatives to combat food insecurity for Hunger Action Month.

Those who arrive early with one or more unopened boxes of cereal to donate can claim their free ticket to watch the Owls face off against the Memphis Tigers at 7 p.m. Last year, the drive brought in 548 boxes of cereal that provided nearly 5,500 meals for local families in need.

“Cereal is one of the least donated items to Boca Helping Hands, which means underserved kids and families do not always get to start their day with a nutritious breakfast,” said Boca Helping Hands Executive Director Andrew Hagen in a statement.
