In partnership with the City of Boca Raton, the South Florida nonprofit organization is inviting kids of all ages to the free event to recite their favorite poem, original or published, before an audience of pajama-clad peers – all beneath dreamy decor by The InterKnit. Attendees will be able to enjoy lawn games, browse a “by-kids-for-kids market” – including mouthwatering South Florida bites – and explore interactive activities.
Beyond the mic, adults and children alike can explore an interactive Mad Arts Holo Box installation, and have storytime during intermission with a dance break via live performance from Miami’s very own Afrobeta. The vibrant world of skateboarding, roller skating and creative arts will blend together for a moment with Tutifruiti Skate, promoting mental health and physical wellness through skate and art.
Crafts tables will include centennial coloring sheets, custom O’Miami/centennial merch, and custom poems on-demand. All may also engage with the hands-on activation The Sensory Sonnet Soiree by Wonder Play!, a sensory-friendly experience designed for those on the autism spectrum and all else who would enjoy it.
