Well, after I made sure to rest up and enjoy the hotel and its amenities early enough to wake up the next day for my drive to school for work. And it was definitely worth it, and I was glad I made that choice to enjoy a one-night stay during the middle of what had become a busy week.

From our room, Sharma and I were able to experience an amazing sunset behind the Downtown skyline and feel the energy of Miami’s nightlife with all its sights and sounds. It was the kind of view that makes you pause and just breathe it all in, in a location where those who decide to stay and enjoy the hotel can make plans to enjoy all that that area of the city has to offer, including museums, cocktail bars and spots to shop.

That means the amenities aren’t just for show, but they’re designed to fit every type of guest, whether you’re staying a night, a week, or longer. Entire floors are devoted to spaces that encourage both productivity and fun—restaurants that feel like destinations, lounges made for unwinding, and wellness areas that feel like a retreat.
For Sharma and I, that translated into a night of exploration and indulgence, knowing every corner of the property had something new to offer, and we even made time to head upstairs to check out the pool area and its views. It had us hoping to come back for a second visit, since it was quite the rainy evening.

At Gale Miami, food is more than fuel, it’s an invitation to linger. Casa Gianna, the property’s signature Italian restaurant, takes guests from morning to night with menus that feel both comforting and special.
Brunch offers dishes like airy ricotta pancakes with a hint of citrus or eggs layered with vibrant greens and sauces. By lunchtime, small plates such as golden arancini and tender meatballs set the stage before pastas take the spotlight. Then there’s the rigatoni in a lightly spiced tomato cream sauce, pillowy gnocchi tossed with cheese and pepper, or spaghetti simmered slowly in a rich ragu.
Dinner is where the kitchen truly shines. Think truffle-kissed pappardelle, delicate linguine with clams, and celebratory risottos that feel like a little luxury on a plate and are perfect to enjoy anytime. And by anytime, I mean that you can just make any day a special occasion and treat yourself to a nice and classy meal full of flavor.
Just steps away, the cocktail bar offers its own journey. As a cocktail enthusiast I was blown away by the classic cocktails that the restaurant’s bar offers, and the wines offered on its extensive list. You can enjoy refreshing spritzes, bold espresso martinis, and riffs on classics, like an Italian-style Old Fashioned. Or, my personal favorite, a dirty martini made with vodka or gin, depending on your mood.
This overall makes the bar the kind of place you don’t want to leave quickly. Paired with a wine list that flows from crisp whites to velvety reds, every sip feels perfectly matched to the flavors of Casa Gianna or are good for an afternoon when you just want to sit at the bar to unwind with a cocktail or two.
Wellness and Relaxation
Alongside its pool deck, lined with cabanas and a lively bar, the wellness offerings are extensive—a spa with steam and sauna rooms, a hammam for complete relaxation, and a yoga studio for stretching the stress away. The fitness center is spacious and state-of-the-art, while families will appreciate touches like the children’s playroom and shuttle access to Miami Beach.
When it comes to the spa side of things, the menu of services is a perfect reminder that even in a quick getaway, you can recharge. And while this visit was so quick that I did not have a chance to enjoy an experience at the spa, I plan to go back and take the time to really pamper myself with a massage or facial. Waking up to that view, even very early that next morning for me, was worth it. There’s nothing better than being greeted by a sunrise and the morning light, a moment of pure calm that was quite soothing before I had to head back to take on my everyday routine.
