Racquets ready?

Tennis and pickleball are year-round passions in South Florida but when it comes to the main stage, the 2025 Delray Beach Open takes center court as the ultimate showcase.

I make it to the Delray Beach Open each year and bring friends who know tennis and some who have never watched or played a match in their life. I’ve also taken my kiddos along and it’s been equally fun for all—because of all the Delray Beach Open offers. Celebrating its 33rd year, the premier ATP Tour event returns Feb. 7-16 to the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center.

“The 2025 Delray Beach Open is going to blow people away. The tennis is set to be more thrilling than ever with the return of del Potro opening weekend and Taylor Fritz going for the three-peat,” said Delray Beach Open Executive Director Adam Baron.

“We’ve also added new events, including the already-sold-out Grand Tasting, expanded the brunches and also created a special event for Valentine’s Day called Valentine’s and Volleys that features gourmet Italian food and wine. Plus, for the first time ever, we’ll have in-stadium food and beverage service at the all-new Mezzanine Level seats,” adds Baron.

Here’s the breakdown so you can get a “grip” on the fun!

This year’s tournament will feature top-ranked players, including Taylor Fritz, who is aiming to defend his title for a historic third consecutive year. Fritz, ranked No. 4 globally, made waves last year by becoming the first American man to reach the US Open final since 2006.

Palm Beach County resident Tommy Paul, last year’s runner-up who is currently ranked among the world’s top 15 players, returns after a career-best season in 2024, winning three titles, reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals and briefly overtaking Taylor Fritz twice as the No. 1 American player. To top off the year, he and Fritz won the Olympic doubles bronze medal in Paris.

The tournament will also kick off with an ATP Legends Event featuring tennis icons like Juan Martin del Potro, the Bryan Brothers (the best doubles team of all time who won 16 Grand Slam titles and will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame this summer), French Open champs Luke and Murphy Jensen, Sam Querrey, Jack Sock, Tommy Haas, Xavier Malisse and other legendary players.
