One of the buzziest openings in a while has finally happened, and we’re all for it. Chef Akira Back, whose restaurant Dosa in Seoul garnered an impressive Michelin Star in 2018, has arrived to Delray. The namesake restaurant, nestled on the bottom floor of The Ray Hotel, has a verdant courtyard, a chic dining room and vibrant bar scene.

Back, who was born in Seoul and raised in Colorado has lived many different lives, including a professional snowboarder. His varied experiences alongside his Korean heritage inspire his menus that blend Japanese and Korean flavors into memorable dishes.

Must try dishes include the AB Tuna Pizza drizzled with white truffle oil, the Cow-Wow Roll, a unique braised short rib roll and the Pop Rockin’ roll with spicy crab and a surprise we won’t ruin.  There are options off the robata, like lamb chops, and mains like the Seared Halibut in a soy beurre blanc sauce that’s unlike anything  you’ve tasted. Back is also serving up Japanese A5 wagyu for your enjoyment.

The eighteenth location in the chef’s portfolio comes to us through a partnership with Menin Development, which is also behind the Delray Beach Market and Lionfish.
