Though he’s shuttered his eponymous Chef Allen’s in Aventura after 25 years and his first foray into Palm Beach County—Taste GastroPub—quickly crashed and burned, Allen Susser is hardly shying away from new restaurant ventures.
Coming to Donald Ross Village in Palm Beach Gardens sometime in October isBurger Bar by Chef Allen, one of what are planned to be many such upscale burger joints in South Florida, patterned after the original Burger Bar in the Fort Lauderdale airport.
Susser’s burgers will feature his own blend of three cuts of Angus beef, shaped into patties that come garnished with cheese (Classic), applewood-smoked bacon and Swiss cheese (Beach), shrimp and thousand island dressing (Surf ‘n’ Turf) and more. There will also be turkey, tuna and portobello burgers, also with fries, snacks, kiddie and adult shakes, and a selection of craft beers.
