Barbara Katz, a legendary name in Florida fashion, has officially entered a bold new era.

The beloved boutique, currently helmed by third-generation owner Cassie Walin, has relocated to a stunning new space at The Shops at Boca Center, a move that coincides with the brand’s 65th anniversary.

Founded in 1959 by Barbara Katz herself, the fashion business began modestly out of her North Miami home. Her entrepreneurial spirit quickly turned it into a fashion empire with stores across South Florida, including locations in North Miami Beach, South Miami, Bal Harbour and Plantation. By the early 1980s, she consolidated the business in Boca Raton, where it has operated as a flagship ever since.

Now, under the stewardship of her granddaughter, Walin, Barbara Katz is poised for a fresh and stylish revival. Since taking the reins in 2021, Walin has brought a younger, modern perspective to the boutique’s legacy, blending heritage with innovation.

“We are thrilled for what the future brings for Barbara Katz with this new store,” Walin says. “I grew up admiring my grandmother as she grew the business into a shopping destination, offering her customers the latest in fashion with the most personalized service. My goal is to honor her legacy while expanding our reach and reimagining what Barbara Katz can be for future generations.”

The new location at The Shops at Boca Center promises a fresh shopping experience for both long-time customers and newcomers. Shoppers can expect a carefully curated collection featuring renowned fashion labels like Frame, Mother, Max Mara, Elliott Lauren and Cinq à Sept, along with exclusive international finds. The store will also carry luxury accessories, handbags, shoes, and exquisite jewelry.

In addition to its elevated product offerings, Barbara Katz remains committed to its signature white-glove service. Clients will continue to enjoy personalized in-store and virtual styling sessions, along with expert alterations tailored to fit every shopper’s needs.

With a new home and renewed vision, Barbara Katz is not just moving locations, it’s moving forward with style, honoring its past while embracing the future.
