The “Rolling Eight” dancers from this year’s Boca Ballroom Battle were able to relive the magic of their performances during a watch party hosted at The Addison last week.
Hosted at The Boca Raton in October, the 2024 Boca Ballroom Battle raised more than $1.3 million to benefit the George Snow Scholarship Fund. During the watch party, the eight community dancers were able to see—for the first time—the routines that they performed after months of training under the professionals of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios.
“It was incredibly exciting to see my dance routine for the first time, as well as those of my fellow dancers. Meeting up with them is always such a joy,” says community dancer and The Addison Vice President Zoe Lanham, whose routine raised a record-breaking $390,000.

“It was amazing because we’ve had a couple months [since the Ballroom Battle] to reflect on the experience and sort of digest it,” says community dancer and founder and CEO of Price Consulting Solutions, Alex Price. “The commitment is so all-in that you can’t fully appreciate it at the moment that you’re in it.”
Price says that any lingering doubts over his performance were relieved when he was finally able to see the footage. “A couple months had gone by and in my mind I was like, ‘Man, I think I did really good, but what if I really stunk it up?'” says Price. “Then I watched it and I’m like, ‘Oh no it was only in my head.'”

More than just a viewing party, the reunion was a chance for the dancers to reconnect and celebrate the impact that funds raised from the Ballroom Battle have had for George Snow scholars while reflecting on the profound effect the event had on them personally.
“I think we all felt humbled about what we were able to collectively do for the George Snow Scholarship Fund and their families, but also felt very grateful of what that experience did for us,” says Price. “A lot of people were able to break down fears that they didn’t know that they had. They were finding themselves more bold and more ambitious than they were before, more fearless.”
