It was a big year for the @modernbocamom account on Instagram. After 8 years and more than 3,700 posts, I finally reached the 20K follower mark. That’s a huge milestone for a hyperlocal content creator like me! As per influencer tradition, I had a splashy “balloon number photo shoot” at Mizner Park celebrating the occasion. I couldn’t resist!
I’m so grateful for my digital connection with local moms. This website lends itself to that connection. So does my own blog, ModernBocaMom.com. However, social media, especially Instagram posts and stories during the last few challenging years, kept us parents connected and entertained.
Who knew I would go from loathing Instagram Reels to creating them on the regular?
I do miss how Instagram used to be: photos only in chronological order. The platform has changed and grown so much since I started featuring my favorite #bocamoms from the ‘gram in this column over seven years ago. So, deciding on my annual picks for Boca moms to follow was not easy! Check out who made the cut for 2023…
