Boca Raton: Productivity in Paradise

When Boca Raton cut the ribbon on our very own Brightline station, it sent a message from Miami to West Palm (and now Orlando) that we’re open for business. And with a low tax rate, unmatched commercial real estate opportunities and a thriving ecosystem of community partnerships, Boca business is booming. Boca Raton has the most business-friendly environment in South Florida, which is why some of the nation’s largest corporations, including Office Depot and ADT, make their home here.

Contributing in large part to Boca’s status as a business leader is the City’s Office of Economic Development, which serves as the main line of support for local businesses by facilitating economic development programs to create and maintain economic sustainability. Here are a few takeaways from the Office of Economic Development’s most recent quarterly report which shines a spotlight on local businesses and highlights why more businesses are choosing Boca:

Phase Two ALINA Residences Tops Off

One year after its groundbreaking, ALINA Residences hosted the topping off celebration of its Phase Two, ALINA 210. This is the second and final phase of development for this Downtown Boca project and is slated for completion in 2024. Upon completion, ALINA Residences will be comprised of three buildings, totaling 303 residences: ALINA 200, ALINA 210, and ALINA 220. ALINA 200 is sold out and occupied, and at the time of the top off, Phase Two was 50% sold.

Royal Palm Residences Tops Off

Group PG hosted the topping off celebration of Royal Palm Residences. The project, also in Downtown Boca Raton, includes 48 boutique residences ranging from 2,425 to 7,168 sq. ft. and includes 6 penthouses and 4 villas.  

Office Depot HQ Sold

Boca Raton-based Pebb Enterprises partnered with BH to purchase the Office Depot headquarters campus for $104 million. The 650,000 sq. ft. complex sits on nearly 29-acres in Boca’s northwest corridor. Office Depot will remain as the main tenant in the building. 

Maggie McFly’s Coming to Town Center

Maggie McFly’s, the local craft eatery and bar from Middlebury, Connecticut, will be opening its 9th location in Town Center at Boca Raton. They’ll be serving up everything from salads and burgers to pizzas and sandwiches. In addition to its extensive menu, Maggie McFly’s also offers a full bar with a wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Maggie McFly’s is slated to open fall 2023. 

Red Pine Boca

Chinese restaurant and lounge Red Pine Boca recently opened at 1 Town Center in Midtown Boca. Red Pine’s menu features traditional and innovative Chinese cuisine. Owner Mitchell Robbins began the research and development process for bringing Red Pine to life more than 3 years ago. Robbins’ journey in Boca began with the purchase of the Wyndham Hotel, and now includes Farmer’s Table and Boca Ice.
