Boca Raton Reveals its New Centennial Logo

If you haven’t heard, Boca Raton is turning 100, and we’re getting a special centennial logo to go along with it.

On Monday, the city unveiled the logo that will be used as The City of Boca Raton prepares for a year-long party to usher in our second century.

The gif, sent out via newsletter, shows a colorful “City of Boca Raton Centennial” next to 100, its zeroes interlocked Olympics-style. Beneath are the years since the city’s incorporation in 1925. Versions of the logo are already on the city website and social media, but it has not replaced the city seal (you know, the one with the ship).

The city said in the newsletter, “This vibrant design represents 100 years of rich history, vibrant culture, and a strong community spirit. Get ready to see the logo incorporated into all things Centennial as we celebrate the past, present, and future of our beloved City starting in January 2025.”

Another version of Boca Raton’s centennial logo

The logo and other happenings fall under the purview of Boca Raton-based advertising agency, Merit Mile, whom the City of Boca Raton has paid $468,000 to handle centennial festivities. The logo is one of the first things we have seen come from the firm.

The city also recently announced its partnership with O, Miami—a nonprofit poetry organization—to launch an Ode to Boca. Residents are encouraged to write poems using their zip code; a select few will be displayed in temporary billboards and public art installations around town.
