It’s about time that Boca borrowed a page from the Delray Beach party playbook. The popular door-to-door-to-door concept that Delray organizations use to raise funds from time to time—where, for a nominal fee, guests make party pit stops at a series of designated bars/restaurants along the trolley route—is finally coming to our backyard in the form of the Boca Raton Bus Loop.
Guests can check in Friday night (June 1) at one of two locations starting at 6 p.m.: The Spaniard (99 S.E. Mizner Blvd.) or at the Living Room Theaters on FAU’s campus (both part of the nine-stop route). Trolleys connecting Mizner Park, Royal Palm Place and the Glades Road/FAU area also will make stops at The Dubliner, Mario’s Osteria, Wishing Well, Funky Biscuit, Platforms Dance Club, Tucci’s Pizza and Black Rose Irish Pub. The event ends at 11 p.m., but the trolleys run until midnight. Also, there’s an after-party at The Dubliner.
Tickets are $20 if you prepay at busloop.org, or $25 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Boca Raton, Spirit of Giving Network and the chamber’s Golden Bell Scholarship Foundation.
Quick tip: Have a designated driver in your group; you’ll need it by the ninth stop. Either that, or call the Bridge Hotel, the official hotel of the Bus Loop, which is offering rooms that start at $79. Call 561/368-9500 and mention the registration code (DTBF).
