Palm Beach County is rich in the arts, with local theater groups as well as the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts up in West Palm Beach. But sometimes it’s fun to make a trip down to Miami to see even more selections of Broadway favorites.

Theater enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Broadway in Miami season offers a lineup of must-see musicals at the Adrienne Arsht Center, which is a quick walk from the Brightline station in downtown Miami.

One of the highlights is “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical,” opening next week. This electrifying show celebrates the life and music of the late Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner. Featuring unforgettable hits like “Proud Mary” and “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” the musical captures Turner’s rise to fame and her resilience through personal struggles, leaving audiences inspired and energized.

Broadway fans will also be thrilled by the return of “Mamma Mia!” from Feb. 18 to 23. This feel-good musical, featuring ABBA’s greatest hits, invites audiences to a sun-soaked Greek island for a heartwarming story of love and family.

The season continues with the devilishly entertaining “Beetlejuice” from April 29 to May 4. This high-energy show, based on the Tim Burton film, combines outrageous humor with catchy music, making it a hit for fans of the supernatural and the absurd.

Closing out the season, the jazz-infused classic “Chicago” will grace the stage from June 17 to 22. Known for its sizzling choreography and sharp wit, this tale of crime and celebrity remains a Broadway favorite that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

With such a spectacular array of shows, the excitement to experience these productions live is palpable. So, maybe it’s time to give a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center a chance. You might just leave the theater smiling and with an added pep on your step.
