Miami Art Week is ready to once again take over the art world by storm in Miami and Miami Beach.

With more than 20 art fairs showcasing more than 1,200 galleries mixed with installations and parties popping up throughout the vibrant city to celebrate the beauty and importance of art, here is a list of some happenings and one-of-a-kind art offerings worth noting to visit and enjoy. citizenM’s Wake-Up to An Art-full World 

This is a week-long initiative that’s celebrated across its three Miami properties—citizenM Miami Worldcenter, citizenM Miami Brickell and citizenM Miami South Beach with activities that include:

Rising artist Anna Valdez hosts a live painting experience as she adds to her existing mural at the entrance of citizenM Miami South Beach.

Rooftop lounge Night Swim partners with Secret Walls and 7-Eleven to immerse guests in a branded experience with music, art battles and more. Don’t miss out on watching a live Secret Walls Paint Battle.

Inspired by citizenM’s recent cyanotype campaign and led by Anna Goraczko, visitors can create their own cyanotype art with the effect of sunlight. This unique hands-on workshop merges the science of photography with the artistry of printmaking.

Marina Abramović x Massimo Dutti

Artist Marina Abramović

The collaboration between renowned performance artist Marina Abramović and international fashion label Massimo Dutti is uniquely wonderful. For the first time, Abramović’s approach to art and her personal creative journey will be on display with “Nomadic Journey,” an exhibition showcasing more than four decades of her drawings, poetry, photographs, and reflections. 

Additionally, Abramović’s latest coffee table book, “Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places,” and exclusive limited-edition merchandise will be available for purchase at the exhibition, Massimo Dutti’s newest flagship at Aventura Mall, and online

OG4ever’s Sports Art Exhibition

Calling all sports fanatics! Wynwood-based art gallery OG4ever is hosting Miami’s first-ever Sports Art Exhibition housing seven international artists, all of whom will be in town for the week. The exhibit celebrates the dynamic intersection of sports and art. In addition, OG4ever will unveil a bronze sculpture of soccer legend Pelé’s hands created by fifth generation sculptor Dante Mortet.

Other works on display are large-scale paintings that integrate real memorabilia including Michael Jordan’s “The Wings” painting that features a piece of his Chicago home court floor, signed by Jordan himself. The art gallery, which houses more than 25 pieces of work, is open to the public and offers a variety of art experiences.

Visitors can also hear about Dante’s time with Pelé in Brazil before the icon’s passing and guests will be invited to add brushstrokes to Murray Henderson’s painting of Leonel Messi.

Cartier Trinity 100 Pop-Up

Cartier Trinity 100 Pop-Up

Cartier is marking the 100th anniversary of its iconic Trinity collection with a special pop-up experience in Miami. The immersive Trinity 100 experience celebrates the rich history of the collection, taking visitors from present day back to 1924, when Louis Cartier designed the first piece of Trinity jewelry.

Gucci Snow Globe Installation 

Gucci Snow Globe

Gucci celebrates the festive season with a striking snow globe installation. This immersive display, inspired by Gucci’s travel heritage, showcases iconic GG-monogrammed luggage amid miniature buildings significant to Gucci’s history. Complementing the installation, Gucci has partnered with American artist Corydon Cowansage to create three murals featuring biomorphic shapes and a vivid palette, adding depth and movement to the plaza in an expanded Gucci Art Wall takeover.

Craig Robins Collection 2024-2025 Exhibition, The Sleep of Reason

Kai Althoff’s “A Man Called Free” from The Sleep of Reason

The Craig Robins Collection in Miami comprises more than 1,500 pieces of contemporary art and innovative design, and it is exhibited within the Dacra headquarters in the Miami Design District. The 2024-2025 rehang of the collection is titled “The Sleep of Reason” based on Francisco de Goya’s “El sueño de la razón produce monstruos,” part of his major print series, “Los Caprichos.” This fundamental work anchors a double presentation of works by Kai Althoff (German, born 1966) and Jana Euler (German, born 1982), two artists whose works engage with abject imagery, often presenting delirious or complex emotional landscapes in their figuration.
