Sexing up the Palm Beach dining scene with a roster of Spanish and miscellaneous Latin favorites is Cha Cha’s Latin Fresh Kitchen & Tequila Bar(150 Worth Ave., 561/655-3319), which made its debut last week in the second-floor space formerly home to Trevini (which, btw, is set to open not far away in November).

The menu, from top toque/partner Kent Thurston, features all manner of tapas, from classic Spanish dishes like gambas al ajillo, pan con tamate and papas bravas to all over the Latin map items like beef empanadas, guacamole and chips, and Caribbean-style ceviche. There’s also a selection of Spanish cheeses, tacos from Baja fish to carnitas, and entrees that include paella, Argentine mixed grill and short rib risotto.

The swanky space is very Palm Beach, with coffered ceilings, a long wooden bar, lots of polished brass fixin’s and a very cool-looking marble tiled floor. Right now it’s dinner only, but lunch is expected to be served starting next month.
