Season three of FX’s “The Bear” was chock full of celebrity chef appearances, from René Redzepi whose former concept, Noma, was once lauded as the greatest restaurant in the world, to Thomas Keller, executive chef of The French Laundry. But the cameo that had us Palm Beach County food nerds on the edge of our seats was none other than chef Daniel Boulud of Palm Beach’s Café Boulud.

In the season three premiere, “Tomorrow,” we see chef Carmy staging at Boulud’s eponymous two Michelin-starred New York City restaurant, Daniel. In the flashback, the famed chef is teaching Carmy how to prepare his signature crispy paupiettes of sea bass dish. Yesterday, Boulud took to social media to praise “The Bear”‘s production team, as well as Jeremy Allen White, who portrays Carmy in the show.

“Collaborating with The Bear’s exceptional team was an absolute pleasure. Filming at Restaurant DANIEL for the Season 3 premiere was done entirely au naturel—no retakes, no gimmicks,” posted Boulud on Facebook, “The experience was as raw and real as it gets. Jeremy Allen White’s incredible talent shines through as he dives in with a perfect blend of fearlessness and confidence. A truly remarkable experience!”

Boulud continued his praises of White in another statement: “Cooking with Jeremy was like cooking with my young chefs. He is a great cook, fast learner, and extremely focused.”

Boulud is no stranger to the limelight, having starred in the reality show “After Hours with Daniel Boulud,” which took viewers behind the scenes of Boulud’s famed late night dinners prepared for celebrity guests. With his appearance on “The Bear,” fans of his fine French cuisine get another peek behind the curtain of what makes Boulud one of our top chefs.

Season three of “The Bear” is now streaming in full on Hulu.
