Chrissy Benoit’s first Production Kitchen was so successful she’s opening another, this one in the same West Palm Beach industrial complex as the first, which debuted a little over a year ago.

The chef-owner of Lake Worth’s artfully funky (and “Triple D” acclaimed) Havana Hideout says the idea behind the original Kitchen (and the Kitchen to come) is to provide local cooks and entrepreneurs with a professionally outfitted, reasonably priced and legally permitted space where they can prepare products, upgrade their cooking skills, and share ideas and inspiration with their fellow Kitcheners.

The second Kitchen will be almost four times the size of its 900-square-foot parent, and will be outfitted with some $20,000 of professional cooking equipment, included a pair of double-stacked convection ovens, industrial-sized mixer, six-burner stove, flat-top griddle and walk-in freezer.

With the extra space and equipment, Kitchen No. 2 will be able to accommodate up to 20 clients, who will rent out a portion of the space on staggered schedules. Its debut is expected in late May.
