It’s a big change from the culinary couture of former Top Chef contestant Stephen Asprinio, but the space at the corner of Clematis Street and South Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach that once held Asprinio’s uneven but adventurous restaurant will now be a much less adventurous but probably much more popular Duffy’s Sports Grill.

Come April 1, the 23rd Duffy’s will make its West Palm debut, showing off its plethora of flat-screen TVs (70, according to reports), seating for more than 250, sports-oriented decor, and menu of tried and true sports bar favorites. . . with a few vaguely gourmet-ish offerings thrown in for good measure.

What that means in your mouth is loaded potato skins and blue crab sushi maki roll, Buffalo chicken wings and Thai curry pasta, half-pound Angus beef burgers and coconut-crusted shrimp, fried cheesecake and DIY cupcakes.

Let the games begin!
