The Community Classroom Project’s next chef’s dinner will be hosted by chef May Aungthet of Ahmay’s Cuisine on Thursday, July 24. What started as a passion project for Aungthet during the pandemic has transformed into a flourishing catering business and food truck.

The dinner will feature Burmese-inspired dishes like crispy chickpea tofu, garlic chicken ravioli in turmeric coconut demi-glace and garam masala short ribs with pomme purée.

Tickets are $125 or $175 with a wine pairing. Proceeds will benefit the local nonprofit’s education and culinary initiatives. Purchase them here.
